Interior Preparation
- Remove all vehicles from the driveway and ensure the garage doors are closed. Avoid parking cars in front of any residential spaces.
- Clear the view by removing trash cans, garden tools, hoses, and sprinklers. Sweep driveways, patios, and sidewalks.
- Place deck/patio furniture & umbrellas upright (if not too windy), remove barbecue covers, and store them out of sig1ht.
- Remove pool toys, cleaners, and any floating items.
- Ensure all window blinds are at the same height and the photographer can open and close as needed.
- Mow the lawn, clean up yard debris, and store the mower out of sight.
- Trim bushes and trees to show clear views of the front and rear exterior.
- Improve curb appeal with front door wreath, greenery, or fresh flowers.
Exterior Preparation
- Ensure ALL lights and lamps have working bulbs. Clear countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms, remove tissue boxes, soap containers,
- Add a touch of color to the kitchen counter with a bowl of fruit. Remove notes, pictures, and magnets from the refrigerator and bulletin boards. Turn off ceiling fans.
- Hide cleaning equipment such as buckets, mops, trash cans, vacuum cleaners, sponges, soap bottles, and cloths.
- Hide the kitchen trash can. Store pet beds, bowls, and toys out of sight. Remove newspapers, magazines, and TV remotes.
- Clean windows and mirrors to be streak-free. Vacuum carpets and polish wood floors.
- Make beds and hang fresh towels in bathrooms.
- Close toilet lids.
